Moving deeper into fall, staying longer in the house enjoying hot coffee or tea has made me appreciate home scents 100 times more than I did before. And nothing can calm you more than sipping your drink while watching the candles light! That's why I came up with two candle holder DIYs to bring fall into our own living rooms.

1. Coffee Vanilla Scent
Place vanilla scented tea lights in a bowl of coffee beans. The warmth of the candles will heat up the coffee beans and make your house smell like french vanilla coffee!

2.  Potpurri
Potpourri makes a stunning decoration in a bowl or vase and gives a pleasant fragrance to your home. You can either create your own mixture of dried petals and spices or buy ready made ones, that smell just as well! I prefer to place it in a wooden container and light a tea light next to it, to compliment the scent a little more.

3. Pumpkin Spice Scent
〰️ the absolut fall 〰️
For this DIY you'll need a few spices you probably already own. Mix 3 tablespoons of coconut oil with 2 teaspoons cinnamon, 1/2 teaspoon ginger, a pinch of nutmeg and a pinch of cloves. (all spices should be ground!) Put the mixture in a essential oil /wax melt burner and enjoy the absolute fall scent! Below you can find some burners that I found really cute. I hope you like them.

What if this was your last day to earth? What if this was the last time you got to see your people, your favourite spots, the last time you did the things you love the most? What would you do then? Would you sit back and cry? Or would you just make the most out of it? This answer seems pretty simple. However, this does not apply to our everyday lives...

Every single day, we choose to press snooze than get up on time. We prefer to upset ourselves over something stupid, than to appreciate everything else good that's happening to us. We prefer to complain about the weather than to embrace it and compliment it with a suitable outfit. (If you're anything like me, you definitely have a favourite outfit for every weather situation..!)

Is it really that hard to LIVE your life as if it was for the last time, only do so every day? Wake up in the morning and thank god you are safe and sound, be excited to live another day, go to your work, school, university, get through your routine. Because, even when you have a fixed timetable in your head, there is ALWAYS something different, EVERYDAY. A conversation, a good deed, a discovery... You just have to acknowledge, enhance and cherish it!

I am ending this post with a beloved quote of mine, which has got me out lots of doubts and is on my mind at all times...

Better an oops, than a what if!

When I first tried brunch I never thought I'd be a regular. But here I am, writing a post about my favorite brunch spots to which I've been a trillion times..! There are dozens of choices for brunch in Athens, but after lots of visits to different places, I've come down to my top 3 ones.

N E W  Y O R K  S A N D W I C H E S

THE BEST BY FAR. If I had to choose one, this would be it! Designed to give you exactly that New York-y feel, this place has everything from stools and stations to New York's subway map! About the food? They serve the B E S T pancakes, omelettes, scrabbled eggs, eggs Benedict and bagels I've ever had. (as you can see, I've tried almost everything on their menu.. oops!)

P I U  V E R D E

I could just stand and stare at this place for hours. Located at 'Alsos Papagou' (which translates to Papagou Forest), this cafe-bar-restaurant is literally into the woods! While you can sit outside and enjoy the 'wilderness' and the custom made pond, indoors is also available, making  PIU VERDE appropriate all year long. I absolutely fell in love with their pancakes, the sweet AND the savory ones!

C H O C O L A T A T A

This small cafe has been our meet-up place since last March! Cute, cozy able to brighten up your day with its colorful decorations and tasteful bites-of course! As you walk into the store, you can't help but notice the scent of a freshly baked cake, cookies or even a quiche lorraine. When I found out that it would be serving an everyday brunch from now on, I couldn't be more thrilled. Their bagels are homemade and come in a variety of fillings, from classic cheese and turkey to prosciutto and Philadelphia. (!) I've never tried better bagels in my life, I swear! All typical egg-based brunch plates are available as well. And we wouldn't call this a brunch review if we didn't speak pancakes, right?! You could go classic maple syrup, chocolate or go bald and try them with their homemade strawberry marmelade. However, my absolute favourite from their huge selection of sweets and savory, is the carrot cake. Moist, sweet, light and exactly what you need after a long tiring day.

I’m always craving fast foods when the sun goes down.. But the late-junk combination could lead to a disaster if it becomes a habit. That’s why I came up with a light-er solution. It looks like pizza, it tastes like a pizza, it just isn’t one..!

Next time you’re at the supermarket be sure to add to your shopping list:

  • a packet of arabic pitas
  • pillsbury pizza sauce (or basically any marinara sauce)
  • grated cheese
  • turkey, mushrooms, green bell peppers, corn or any other topping of choice

1. Spread a tablespoon or two of the sauce onto the pita, staying away from the edges.

2.  Create a layer of grated cheese, add your favourite toppings and on top, more cheese of course!

3. Simply pop it in the oven for 5 minutes, at 150 ºC (300 ºF) - you can even grill it for an extra couple of minutes for that crunchy bite.

For a maximum of 10 minutes, you can have the dinner and the nutritional value of your dreams, all in one plate!

Bon appetit!

Being a student in another country, can't keep you off the airports much long! I travel back-and-forth to my hometown, about every 3 months. And yet, I love the flights more and more every time! This week I've returned to Athens for the beginning of my 3rd year in University, and this is what I wore during my flight!

I always keep in mind that in order to enjoy what I'm doing I should feel comfortable in my own skin. That's why I always try to choose pieces that are not only pretty but convinient as well. And lets not forget the -easy to put on and off- part, due to annoying temperature differences and A/C of course!

Fall as it is, I chose cropped jeans and paired them with a simple black t-shirt, with some lace up details on the back. My addidas Stan Smiths are a must as they are not only one of the latest trends, but comfy as well.

You may ask yourself what's so special with the outfit. Well that's the magic of my airport outifts. Add one single special piece to uplift your whole look! I added a striped, long, overzised blazer, to keep me both warm and in-style! And to finish it all of, I grabbed my silver backpack, the absolute bag for travel days, when you need both your hands and your mind free..!

Jeans: ZARA
T-shirt: STRADIVARIUS
Blazer: STRADIVARIUS
Shoes: ADIDAS STAN SMITH
Backpack: KEM

What's your favorite time of the day? Mine is for sure the time I get to shower, relax clean myself and just get away from my hectic shcedule. The hacks I'm about to share with you are going to level those precious moments up! Keep reading...

1. Make candle holders out of wine glasses

All you'll need is a wine glass, a candle and your favorite flowers. I used real flowers cause i prefer them, but fake ones would do as well.
Flip the wine glass over and place some flowers inside.
Place your scented candle on top of the upside-down(ed) glass!

2. DIY shower steamers

With just three ingredients, your shower will smell like a bakery, flower shop, winter etc...
Grab 1/3 cup distilled water, 1 cup baking soda and essential oil.
Stir the water into baking soda, until paste-like consistency.
Add 20-30 drops of essential oil and mix them all together.
Pour the paste into a mold (I used ice cube trays!) and let it harden overnight.
Pop out the steamers and place them in some corner of your bathroom. Make sure they are away from water!!
The next time you hop in, the steam will release the scent of the essential oils, making the whole shower experience just a little better! (a looot..)

3. Classy bubblebath containers

You just need to drink up.. Save cool liquor bottles (preferably tequila ones) and use them as bubble bath containers! Amazing isn't it?!

With fall being around the corner, I've gathered 5 tops which in my opinion are staples for every wardrobe, especially with the weather's up and downs!
Basic tops, that are easy to find at almost every clothing store, and will definitely stay with you through the years.

1. Logo T-Shirts

You can't go wrong with logo t-shirts! Wear them with shorts, jeans or even cigarette pants, for an all-day casual look. I got my Hard Rock Cafe shirt from Madrid (as you can see).

2. White Shirt

My white shirt comes everywhere with me. I wear it either as a cover-up on those chill nights, or as an actual shirt with black shorts. This shirt is from Stradivarius but I got it a whiiiile ago..

3. Off the shoulder

Off the shoulder tops add that romantic feel to any outfit. My top could go to the shirt category as well, but the striped shirt-off the shoulder combination gives that romantic and at the same time edgy vibe every woman needs.. I got it from ZARA.

4. Oversized shirts

Oversized shirts are my forever love. I personally like to tie them up so they become crop-top like, giving you that cute, laid-back look. My favorite flamingo(!) shirt is from MANGO.

5. Bralettes

One of the latest fashion trends and the most comfortable piece of 'clothing' ever..! I wore my Stradivarius bralette under a sheer long sleeve shirt from MANGO.
